Indonesia is ready for Cruise Resumption

Starting on July 2nd, 2022, the luxurious Genting Dream by Resort World Cruise resumes the Regular Port of Call to Indonesia. Of course, the presence of cruise ships can have a significant impact economically and socially on tourist destinations visited by cruise ships.

"We are looking forward to welcoming Genting Dream by Resort World Cruise to the Bintan and Batam islands in Indonesia in early July this year. With Resorts World Cruises taking on a pioneering role in restarting destination cruises in Indonesia, we are confident that together, we will rejuvenate the regional cruise tourism industry," said Dr. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia.

Along with the support from the Cruise Operator and Ministry of Indonesia, The Central Government of Indonesia is committed to making it easier for Cruise ships to access Indonesia's sea route. The policy has been issued about simplifying the process for cruise ships to enter Indonesian waters and waiving cabotage. More international cruise ships can call on Indonesian Ports, with more scheduled to call on even more seaports starting this year.

Supporting cruise resumption in Indonesia, as of July 1st, 2022, the Government of Indonesia has allowed 10 ports to serve Cruise Ships. Through this policy, tourists can now explore more fascinating wonders of the archipelago since the tourists can visit more destinations.
