Pelindo delighted to announce that due to the increasing demand for cruise calls at Port of Benoa, Pelindo has strategically utilized Development Area 2 as a temporary additional berthing area to optimize operations and accommodate multiple cruise ships simultaneously. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing Benoa’s capabilities as a premier cruise hub in Southeast Asia.

On February 20-21, 2025, Port of Benoa successfully facilitated the simultaneous berthing of three international cruise vessels:

• Silver Nova | GT: 54,600 | LOA: 244.2m | Passenger Capacity: 728

• Queen Elizabeth | GT: 90,901 | LOA: 294m | Passenger Capacity: 2,503

• Viking Sky | GT: 47,842 | LOA: 228m | Passenger Capacity: 928

This successful multi-berthing operation demonstrates our ability to provide scalable infrastructure, efficient logistics, and exceptional service standards to meet the growing needs of the cruise industry.

As part of Benoa’s continuous development, Development Area 2, originally designed as a multipurpose wharf, was successfully utilized for temporary cruise berthing to ensure smooth passenger operations and an optimal berthing arrangement. Silver Nova was the first cruise vessel to utilize this facility for embarkation and disembarkation, marking a significant milestone in our ability to accommodate increased cruise traffic while maintaining service excellence.

This initiative highlights Port of Benoa’s adaptability in managing peak cruise seasons, reinforcing our role as a key gateway for cruise tourism in Indonesia.
